The JW6 Advanced Level Pathway offers you a strong choice of A Level courses with guaranteed excellent teaching, designed to get you the results you need.

For our students who chose to go to higher education, 84% of our A Level students going into higher education achieved a place at their first choice of university.

Entry requirements

Six or more Grade 5s, including specific grades in key subjects. For more detail on the specific grade requirements, visit our course information.

A Level courses

Choose 3 from a range of Academic subjects including: English, Maths, Science, Humanities, Art and Sports.

Students following the Advanced Level Pathway benefit from:

• An Acer Chromebook for all A Level students upon entry
• Access to the brand-new Sixth Form Study Centre

Fast-track your way to skills and employment

Prepare yourself for employment in business or education with our new work-focussed T Levels. As well as time at the academy, you’ll spend 20% of the course on work placements to help you fast-track your way to earning after Sixth Form.

Choose from T Levels in Business or Education and Early Years, and get the workplace skills you need to succeed.

T Level courses

Choose from Business or Education and Early Years. Both courses include an extended work placement and independent study.

Students following the Technical Level Pathway benefit from:

• A personal study kit provided upon entry to the T Level course
• A study schedule that does not follow school hours
• Direct access to industry-based work placements
• Guest speaker sessions
• 1-to-1 career guidance and work-based mentoring
• Residential trips and university visits

Setting off on a winning career in sport

The new JW6 Sports Science Pathway will put you on the fast track to a career in sport – including sports science, sports management and even sports psychology.

Choose from exciting courses all designed to make you ready for a winning career in sport – Applied Science BTEC, A Level Biology or CTEC Sport.

Choose from: Applied Science BTEC, A Level Biology, Level 3 Cambridge Technical in Sport and Physical Activity (Extended Certificate).
